Going for granite

Today was an adventure. The 30 mile trip to the granite warehouse took over 2 hours of driving & detours as a result of the relentless rains that began Friday night while we celebrated Mike's & mine first social event at Wheaton Fall Fest. The celebration includes music, beer, popcorn, and friends annually.
Anyway, we selected & tagged our preferred Delicatus slab #32 & #33. they looked a bit different in the warehouse than I thought they appeared in a nice showroom, but I think we are pretty confident the slab will look as expected when actually installed.
The video is pretty boring, but cool to see how the crane & rubbery clothes pin lifts & moves the 1000 pound slab from one location to another.

This video however documents the road conditions in our tour-de-suburbs. We looped over 74 miles and drove through more towns than we have ever seen since being in Chicago. An to think it is still raining and should continue through tomorrow!
